What is Ultrasonic Metal Melt Treatment Equipment
Ultrasonic metal melt treatment equipment is a high-power ultrasonic equipment specially developed for the metallurgical industry.
The ultrasonic melt treatment system is equipped with an ultrasonic vibrator independently developed by FUNSONIC, which can work continuously for several hours at a high temperature of 800℃ without obvious wear.
During the crystallization process of the molten alloy material, the front tool head of the ultrasonic vibrator is immersed in the molten material, which plays a role in refining and homogenizing the grains of the alloy material and accelerating the precipitation of internal bubbles, thereby changing the metallographic structure of the material. It provides solutions for the metallurgical department to develop and manufacture alloy materials of different types and materials.
It is usually used in the smelting process of aluminum, magnesium and other alloys.

Basic Principle
The ultrasonic molten metal processing system consists of two parts: ultrasonic vibration components and ultrasonic generators. Ultrasonic vibration components include ultrasonic transducers, ultrasonic horns and extension rods, and tool heads. The transducer converts the electrical energy input by the generator into mechanical energy (frequency: 20kHz, amplitude: 3-20μm). The horn amplifies the amplitude, isolates the metal melt and heat energy transfer, and flanges are installed on the horn nodes to fix the entire ultrasonic vibration system. The extension rod and tool head below the flange are inserted into the smelting furnace; the tool head (ø50×200~300mm) is immersed in the metal melt (ultrasound is turned on) to work.
When propagating, ultrasonic waves will generate positive and negative alternating sound pressure, forming jets and nonlinear sound streams and micro-sound streams, producing cavitation effects, cutting off and destroying dendrites, impacting the solidification front, and increasing the stirring and diffusion effect, thereby refining the grains, uniformizing the alloy composition, accelerating the removal of bubbles, and significantly improving the comprehensive properties of alloy materials.
Application scenarios
1. Grain refinement: Ultrasonic metal melt processing equipment can cut off and destroy dendrites, impact the solidification front, increase stirring and diffusion, refine grains, make the organization uniform, and shorten processing time through ultrasonic vibration; it provides processing convenience for metallurgical research institutions to develop alloy materials with different characteristics (such as strength requirements, rolling and fatigue resistance).
2. Removal of impurities and gases: Ultrasonic waves produce cavitation effects in metal melts, so that inclusion powders are successfully layered, gathered and floated, and at the same time, the gas dissolved in the metal melt is discharged, so as to achieve the purpose of purifying the internal organization of the alloy.
3. Accelerate bubble movement: Ultrasonic vibration can accelerate bubble movement and precipitation, and improve the comprehensive performance of the material.
4. Improve the appearance of the ingot: The surface quality of the ingot can be improved by acting on the crystallizer with ultrasonic vibration.

Advantages of ultrasonic aluminum melt
Corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance: The equipment uses high-strength titanium alloy materials that are resistant to high temperatures and corrosion, and can withstand temperatures of up to 800°C.
Improve product quality: The effects and effects between micromolecules are more direct and obvious, effectively avoiding the uneven distribution of crystals inside the alloy.
Easy installation: It can be installed by docking with standard flanges without changing existing production equipment and process flows.
Reduce production costs: In the traditional metal smelting process, a large amount of fuel and electricity support is required, and a long processing time is required, which will increase labor costs and equipment maintenance costs. Metal melt processing equipment can significantly reduce these costs.
